My Very First Photo Shoot

Yesterday Mommy and Daddy took me to Portrait Innovations to get my pictures taken..... These are samples of how the shoot went.
I was quite excited to be the center of attention! Mommy had just taken my shoes off and I was extremely thrilled about that.
Daddy was acting quite silly and I couldn't stop myself from laughing.....
Then the mood changed and I had to show my sophisticated side. Daddy says I look like a little scholar! Watch out Harvard, here I come....
I know it really looks like the beach, but this was all props. Quite amazing, wouldn't you say? This was a very nice fuzzy towel, I'm trying to talk Mom into buying me one just like it....
At first I didn't cooperate with this whole flying baby look, but just as the photographer was taking her last shot I decided to let my personality really shine through! Of course, it helped that Daddy was standing off in the corner doing some crazy man dance......
I can't wait until the next time I go to have pictures taken....

A Little Sick But Still High in Spirits

Hi everyone..... I've had a runny nose and bad cough for a little over a week so Mommy and Daddy took me to see the Dr. McCray. Turns out, I have bronchiolitis...(an infection in the bronchioles). Dr. McCray gave me some steroids and said I should be better in a week or so. I'll let you know how everything turns out.....

Oh how I love love love the water!!!

This little float from Gram is too wonderful! It even comes with it's own little shade...
I tricked Daddy into letting me taste the pool water by licking on the float.... Bath water doesn't even come close to this stuff!!! And it's cold on the palate.... I think I'll have to talk Mommy and Daddy into bringing me here more often. This pool is in the community where we live, and although it's not quite as warm as the indoor pool was, this doesn't bother me at all......

Welcome Baby Bluebirds!!!

For all of you wondering if our friendly bluebirds had any babies yet the answer is YES!!! These little babies hatched about a week ago. I'm so excited to see them in flight. Mommy and I like to sit out front and watch the Mama and Daddy bluebird feed their babies.....

Playing in my Crib

It's not every day that you'll see me playing in my crib.... Mommy had to tidy up my room so she let me play for a little while.
The colored blocks were amusing for a little while, but I'd have to say that my bear musical mobile is still my all time favorite!
My crib is pretty neat after all! You see that blue blanket on top of me? That's my swaddle. I still like to be wrapped up like a little burrito at night! In my swaddle, I'll sleep from 8pm to 5am. Not swaddled, Mom and Dad are lucky if I sleep for 3 hours. Boy, are they in for it when I outgrow that thing!!!

Here I am again with the infamous "monkey ball" which I love so much! Mommy just loves the first photo here. She says that I'm growing up sooooo fast. Don't I look so innocent? Mommy's in for it! All the girls are going to be knocking down my door.....

Look at me!!!

So I didn't do this by myself, but I did stay standing up on my own for a few seconds. I wanted to help Mommy fold the laundry so Daddy gave me a boost and told me to hold on. I think I could get used to this standing thing. Only first I have to master crawling...... Oh yeah, I have to start crawling first......

The ball that Nana sent!!

Nana sent me this neat ball for Easter, but I let it sit on a shelf until now.... Boy, was I missin' out!!! This thing is too cool and I just love the noises the little monkey makes. Oh, by the way, I've been sitting up for a couple weeks now, but I still haven't figured out how to push up by myself. I'm sure I'll have the hang of it soon, but until then Mommy and Daddy are doing a great job helping me out!

Played myself to sleep!!!

Today I turned 7 months old!!! Can you believe it? I was so excited that I played until I passed out! I probably would've slept for hours here but Mommy helped me to my bed for the rest of my snooze.
